Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)

Dream Abroad. Conquer With Us.
Manitoba, located between the provinces of Ontario and Saskatchewan, serves as a gateway to western Canada in many respects.

In 1998, Manitoba became the first province to establish a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). As a small province with few newcomers, it relied on the PNP to promote itself as a preferred location for talented immigrants. Manitoba has been a huge immigration success story since then. Immigration has played a significant part in Manitoba’s population, labor force, and economic growth, according to the Manitoba PNP.

Manitoba Immigration Streams

If you wish to immigrate to Manitoba, then you have five options to choose from:

  • Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream
  • Skilled Worker Overseas Stream
  • Manitoba Business Investor Stream
  • International Education Stream
  • Morden Community Driven Initiative.

The Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream is intended for competent temporary foreign employees and international student graduates who are currently employed in Manitoba and have been given a permanent, full-time position by a Manitoba company.

The Skilled Worker Overseas Stream is for qualified skilled workers who are currently working outside of Canada but have a strong connection to the province. This category may potentially be open to skilled workers who are already in Canada.

The Manitoba Business Investor Stream is intended for applicants who want to start a business in Manitoba.

The International Education Stream is designed for international graduates who have completed their studies at a Manitoba post-secondary school and intend to remain in Manitoba permanently.

Welders, carpenters, cooks, and plumbers are eligible for the Morden Community Driven Initiative.
